For You...
Back to the good ole' xanga. Don't really know how to format or organize it but here goes. Honestly, where to begin... Since March 30th so much has happened. So much has changed, and I am a new person. Ok maybe only revised or updated but lets slide back into that former reality for just a second.
The conclusion of high school was rocky to say the least. Of course Katy and I are no longer a couple, the summer movie was kind of a bust, both social and solitary problems arose. However, I can't say it was all bad. Now that I look back on March 30th, the last few months included some of the best times in my life. With one stage of my life ending a new one began.
"Chill", "Relax", calm down. Take a deep breath and continue. I continued to pursue my ongoing interest in film and writing. Had the opportunity to meet Joe Carnahan, the local Sacramento now Hollywood director, who directed such great action flicks as Narc and Smoking Aces. Meeting Carnahan plus several other authors also in the Crest theater's weekly conversation event, I came to realize two things. 1. read everything 2. learn everything.
College. Thank you Ricky and Phill for helping me move in. Thank you the rest of my friends/family/friends for making the last few months as a resident of my parents household wonderful! I am doing well. It's been an experience. Once again my mind is all over the board trying to figure out how to get acclimated to this new environment. My hall parties 24/7. Ouch. The times I have gone out with them have been fun, certainly an experience worth noting but as b-movie somewhat sour. While I am definitely not opposed to meeting new people and trying new things, I am taking a break from being social. And as I sit here at my new desk, yet somewhat similar to my old one, it's quiet. No Jack, Barry, or Vincent. Just Travis. My party tonight was listening to a Cellist perform the wonders of Bach.
How much I took paper towels, Kleenex, fruit snacks, and insects for granted still amazes me.
